image-lamp-lighting.jpeg Amber Chand, Founder of the Women's Peace Collection,  has launched her new initiative: Global Journeys: Celebrating the Global Feminine, a journey that will take a group of women to the foothills of the Himalayas in October.  Entitled:  The Journey of A Thousand and One Lamps the women will be residing at Tara-Jagori Grameen, considered one of the oldest retreat sanctuaries supporting women's empowerment and social justice in India. The travelers will have an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his abode in Dharamsala, will do service activities with women in neighboring villages, and will spend their time in contemplative practice, through writing, yoga and meditation.   Amber remarks: "this inaugural trip to the foothills of the Himalayas offers each of us an opportunity to more deeply engage with women in another part of the world, to learn from them, and to connect with them in celebrating our shared humanity".   This journey is made possible through a partnership with TARA/Jagori Grameen and Ekno Travel Experience.  Co-leading the group with Amber is Linda Strohmeyer.
