The Womens Peace Collection is pleased to partner with Until There's A Cure - a national organization dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS by raising awarenss and funds to combat this global pandemic.

In keeping with our mission to support women artisans in sustainable enterprise, we have launched the AFRICA Bracelet, skillfully crafted by artisans in Namibia out of recycled PVC pipes and the ORPHAN Bracelet, supporting the lives of orphans in South Africa by investing in women artisans who create these simple but powerful bracelets.   

The Orphan Bracelet Campaign was founded by director Louise Hogarth, who was inspired by the women and children in her film "Angels in the Dust".

Through this partnership, we strengthen the spirit of collaboration between like minded organizations and hope to bring increased awareness to this global pandemic that devastates the lives of families in Africa.

Amber Chand has been nominated to the Twenty-First Century Women Business Leader’s Hall of Fame at Bay Path College in Massachusetts and will be inducted at this year’s Women’s Professional Development Conference on May 1, 2008.

The Twenty-First Century Women Business Leader’s Hall of Fame concept at Bay Path College was conceived as a way to encourage and motivate students by profiling inspiring businesswomen for students to emulate in a virtual hall of fame.

Seven key characteristics for women’s business leadership now form the basis for nomination to Bay Path’s Twenty-First Century Women Business Leader’s Hall of Fame:

Takes risks and assumes responsibility;

• Possesses an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit;
• Maintains an optimistic attitude that creates a positive workplace;
• Adheres to a collaborative management style that fosters teamwork as well as individual service;
• Serves as a mentor to others;
• Incorporates integrity, accountability and a strong sense of business ethics in her day-to-day management style, and;
• Values education as a way to learn new ideas, improve communication and remain curious and open-minded.

Amber Chand, together with several business leaders, will be inducted on May 1st, 2008.
