The colors in this luxurious alpaca scarf are just stunning. The myriad of tones with a predominantly purple and pink hue make this sumptuously soft scarf a real eye catcher! The two sides of the scarf have a slightly different subtle striped pattern (see all photos).
Hand woven by Ecuadorian artisans in a small region outside of Quito, it is made on a wooden loom using the same traditional methods that have been employed for hundreds of years.
Considered by many a higher quality material than cashmere, alpaca is one of the world’s most valuable natural fibers. Just ask any Incan Emperor why only the royal families were allowed to wear it! It is luxuriously soft, hypoallergenic, breathable, warm, lightweight and durable. Best of all, it is a natural, eco-friendly fiber and the artisans are paid fair wages.
