The organization that developed this bracelet is donating 100% of all proceeds to Global Giving Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund and Women's Peace Collection is donating an additional 20% of each bracelet sold.  This organization was selected because it helps get urgent aid and relief everywhere it’s needed - both in-country as well as providing support for Ukrainians that are now living as refugees.

This lovely little bracelet features recycled sari textile beads on an elastic band, finished off with a tassel.  The artisans cover handmade wooden beads with recycled remnants of discarded vintage cotton saris and quilts.  The blue and yellow are the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

This bracelet comes with the card shown, which describes the initiative, making it wonderful for gift giving.  Wear this in solidarity with Ukraine and gift others so they can do the same.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

Our recycled sari jewelry is handmade in a fair trade women's cooperative in India. The artisans are paid excellent wages and have seen their standard of living greatly increase through fair trade practices.  In addition, the organization working with the women, has established the Girls Education Fund, which provides scholarships for marginalized girls to continue school.  In India it is estimated that 64% of adolescent girls are forced to leave school early to take care of younger siblings, help run the household or for arranged marriages.
