ABOUT THE ARTISANS
Our batik scarves are handmade in a fair trade cooperative in a rural desert region of Western India. Thirty talented artisans handcraft the scarves by first making wax drawings, then dying and sewing the scarves. The artisans not only receive excellent wages, but have access to health care, skills training, a safe working environment and entrepreneurial development.
