We love this new take on the classic hoop - a circle of tiny black glass beads decorated with hand engraved sterling silver beads. The earrings are handmade by women in a fair trade cooperative in Guatemala, while the silver beads are handcrafted by Hill Tribe artisans in Thailand. Simple and elegant, these are sure to accent any outfit.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS
The artisan cooperative that makes this beautiful piece of jewelry is located in Santiago Atitlan, in the highlands of Guatemala. Not only are the artisans paid fair wages, but the cooperative uses the profits to help fund an elder program in the community, which provides meals three times a week to impoverished elders, many of whom otherwise have no food to eat. The majority were widowed during the genocide in the 1980's, so this is an extraordinary community service.
