ABOUT THE ARTISANS
This piece of jewelry is handmade by female artisans in a fair trade cooperative in India. The women are not only paid fair wages, but the cooperatives are worker-owned organizations so all of the women receive a share of the profits. In addition, the artisans receive healthcare, paid maternity leave, daycare, and retirement pensions.
