Save The Elephants Leather Earrings - black, Zambia

These fun earrings are part of our unique snare wire collection.  They feature repurposed snare wire, collected during anti-poaching efforts in Zambia, strung on a brown leather cord with Tibetan silver beads.

Measures approximately 1.5" long.

Our snare wire jewelry is handmade in a fair trade women's cooperative in Zambia.  The snare wire, which is used to poach elephants, is collected and repurposed into beautiful, contemporary jewelry.  The organization that works with the women donates $5 from each piece of jewelry sold to help fund anti-poaching controls.  The artisans are paid fair wages and are seeing their lives greatly improved, while elephants in Zambia are being saved.
