This fabulous trivet is handmade out of repurposed cotton denim fabric and is filled with rice, cinnamon and clove.  Use cold or heat it in the microwave to  keep the dish warm while emitting a delicious aroma.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

The artisans who make this item are part of a fair trade cooperative in Guatemala called The New Denim Project. The women are not only paid fair wages but are able to work from home so they can take care of their children while becoming financially independent. The cooperative has grown over the past 20 years to employ more and more women who are improving their lives and becoming self-sufficient.   All recycled materials are used in production.
