ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This piece of jewelry is handmade by women and families in the Karen Hill Tribe in Thailand where silver work is a longtime tradition.  Each village creates its own designs, and the women work together as a community so the money they earn goes to the village, where life is greatly improved by the sale of the jewelry. This is true fair trade in action.
