ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This beautiful ornament is handmade in a fair trade cooperative in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico.  The artisans live in remote areas without access to buyers, so the cooperative has helped them earn fair wages and become self sufficient.  Each piece bears the signature style and artistry of the woman who made it.
