These cute kitty oven mitts help protect your hands from hot pans with adorable kitty faces looking up at you.  Some of the fabric is hand loomed, while up-cycled garment fabrics from nearby sewing workshops are also incorporated into each piece. They come with a hanging loop so you and kitty can look at each other all day long. 

Each mitt measures 7" by 5.5." 100% cotton.

Please note:  Since these are made from recycled fabric scraps colors will vary, although they will all be in the blue family.  See photos for examples.

All of our products are shipped with cards containing information about fair trade and the corresponding artisan group.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This item was made by women in the rural and mountainous regions of Nepal. The women receive medical and education allowances and paid leave and maternity leave  while earning a livable income. They're able to continue the use of traditional techniques, and by working from home they're able to care for their children.
