ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This item was handmade by artisans in a fair trade cooperative in Indonesia.  In addition to fair wages the artisans receive benefits such as education and medical treatment for their families.   The artisans have become self-sufficient due to their steady income from fair trade practices.
