Our coffeewood spoons are made from the same Nicaraguan mountain Coffea Arabica trees as our roasted coffee, for the whole coffee experience. The coffee trees are pruned annually to nurture their growth & production. The prunings are then used for firewood and are hewn into beautiful pieces such as these spoons.
Each set of 2 spoons arrives in a beautifully handmade leather holder, which was handmade in the same community in Nicaragua. They are made of coffea arabica wood & high-grade stainless steel and the wood is sealed with local beeswax. Stir your coffee...or savor a bite of ice cream with these beautiful spoons.
Spoons measure 3″ x 0.5″ x 7.5″ (7.6 x 1.3 x 19.1 cm).
ABOUT THE ARTISANS
This product is handmade in a fair trade cooperative in Nicaragua. The ultimate goal of the co-op is to stop poverty. Sustainable methods are a priority at every stage of production. The artisans are paid excellent wages and have seen their lives greatly improved through fair trade practices. Their is a great sense of community and belonging between the artisans and the coffee growers.
