This stunning necklace features a 24K gold-plated bronze pendant with a genuine hand-cut emerald stone.  The stone consists of raw emerald crystals in a matrix combined with white calcite quartz and silver mica.

All of our emeralds are ethically mined.  Hand-cut Muzo Morralla Emeralds are known to be among the best emeralds in the world.  A card explaining the history of Colombian emeralds will be included with the jewelry.

Pendant measures 2" long by 1/8" wide except for the stone which measures approximately 3/8."

24K gold-plated 18" chain plus 2" extender.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This jewelry was handmade in a fair trade women's cooperative in Colombia.  There are now over 500 artisans working in the cooperatives. They are paid excellent wages and some have received micro loans to start their own businesses.  The 50-year Colombian civil war devastated the country and these fair trade ventures are helping families rebuild as well as promoting ecological sustainability.
