ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This item is handmade in a fair trade workshop in Vietnam, about 2.5 hours outside of Hanoi. The cooperative focuses on partnering with ethnic minority groups, rural or isolated communities, people with disabilities and traditional villagers. By providing these groups with good jobs and access to national and international markets, they bring visibility and dignity to marginalized populations.  In addition to fair wages, the artisans receive training in technical and business skills.  They are paid at least twice the minimum wage in Vietnam.
