This beautiful alpaca blend scarf is soft and cozy. This one is a stunning shade of red with a touch of black which can be seen in the fringe.
Considered by many a higher quality material than cashmere, alpaca is one of the world’s most valuable natural fibers. Just ask any Incan Emperor why only the royal families were allowed to wear it. It is luxuriously soft, hypoallergenic, breathable, warm, lightweight and durable.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS
This scarf was handmade in a fair trade cooperative in Ecuador. The indigenous artisans use age-old, traditional weaving techniques combined with contemporary styles and colors, to create gorgeous products for a Western marketplace. The scarves are handwoven on a wooden loom using methods that have been employed for hundreds of years. The artisans are paid excellent wages, and have seen their lives greatly improved through fair trade practices.
