ABOUT THE ARTISANS

The artisans that crafted this item are part of a cooperative called "Local Women's Handicraft" that was started by a former child laborer. The cooperative provides job training, good wages, and has helped some of the most marginalized women from rural Nepal become independent and self-sufficient.
