This fun trivet is handmade out of recycled newspapers in a fair trade cooperative.  The paper is tightly woven into squares that are sewn together to create a unique, functional product for the home.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This item was handmade by artisans in a fair trade cooperative in the Philippines.  In addition to fair wages the artisans receive benefits such as education and medical treatment for their families. The artisans have become self-sufficient due to their steady income from fair trade practices.
