ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This beanie was handmade in a fair trade women's cooperative in India.  The artisans are paid fair wages, work in safe conditions and are involved in every step of production including design, which makes them partners in the company's vision.

The cotton is grown by organic farmers who are guaranteed a stable price and paid a deposit before planting which covers the cost of seeds and planting. This is true fair trade in action.
