ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This bag was hand quilted in rural West Bengal, India by women who learned it from generations of family members who have passed down the craft. They use up-cycled saris and the traditional kantha stitching technique to create truly re-purposed and functional works of art. They're paid well and have been able to improve their lives through partnerships with Fair Trade businesses.
