ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This beautiful jewelry is handmade by women in Mumbai, India, who are survivors of human trafficking.  Sex trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery, and the women who are rescued are often severely traumatized from their experience.  This program not only provides them with an income, it offers education, medical care, counseling and mentoring, thus empowering the women to live a life of freedom.
